 hello

 on a small network, including 8 PCs and a HP 3000 running MPE/ix 6.5 pp3
and
 SAMBA 2.0.7.

three of the pcs seeems to be known as lmuser instead of the name
configured
 in the network properties.

These 3 PCs run under win 98, while the other are using W2K.

normally we use the pc'sname to identify the station and limit (via a pc
program)
the access to the hp 3000

Is there something to do on the win 98 clients to obtains their real name,
or
is it a problem in smb.conf ( and in that case wha) ?

 thanks
