Gentle listers,

I've finally clipped the last serial device from our DTC; now I'd like to
eliminate use of the BNC connectors on our 937 & 957 MFIO cards, as 99% of
our network gear uses Ethertwist (RJ45 connectors on cat5, & gosh I hope the
terminology's correct!). I read the -L archives re "Transceiver" & "AUI" so
I think I have a bit of the nec info, but would like to check a couple
things:

We're using (only) the 'standard' MFIO card, can't see the part# but it's
"SCSI/CONSOLE/LAN (10MBPS)"

1) is "HP28685B aka A2671A 'HP Ethertwist Transceiver'" the correct
transceiver?

2) does 1) come with the retainer clip I'll undoubtedly need?

3) I understand there are 4 jumpers on 1); how do I set 'em?
SQE test
Link Beat
LoopbackTest
LongCable

4) (extra credit ;-) Are there 3rd party transceivers that will work? Seems
there might even be a magic box that would convert ThinLan BNC into
Ethertwist, which would save me the reboot needed for the MFIO jumper
changes.

5) (REAL credit!) Who's got 'em for sale cheap?

TIA
