[snips on DNS vs hosts vs PROBE vs NSDIR, etc]

Chris is correct in the "3000 settings" of WRQ RNS/Win. My earlier posts
suggested to prefer hosts. I must confess that my local 'hosts' file on
my PC just happens to be more "official" since it is used to create the
real host files and to cross-check zone tables for local subdomains on
the DNS servers. Hosts may not be the best choice for casual user unless
they rigorously maintain their files. It is the fastest method provided
your hosts file is accurate. Otherwise I concur with Chris, probe is
somewhat more efficient from the client side, even more so from the 3000
side when using NS services.
