The MPE Forum of Interex is expanding its areas of activity. In
addition to advocating to HP on the behalf of the User Community, we will
also be advocating to Interex on the behalf of MPE members, and to the
industry at large on the strengths of the MPE platforms.

In making recommendations to Interex, we will work closely with
volunteer leaders and also the community at large. Our immediate tasks
include:
1. Determining format and content for the IPROF 2000 event
2. Providing input/recommendations to HP World conference committee relating
to MPE content.
 3. Implementing electronic and web-based services for the MPE community

We have copious notes (thanks to Leah Robertson or Interex) of the
"Future of IPROF" session held at IPROF'99. As a part of the feedback
process we have set up an [log in to unmask] mail list so
that discussions can continue on a focussed environment without clogging up
hp3000-l.

In terms of educating the industry at large, we look forward to
continuing the discussions held at the past IPROF on the ways in which we
can correct some of the more blatant pieces of misinformation floating
around about the "25 year-old technology with corresponding performance".
As we develop our plans for this area, we will be sharing them on hp3000-l
and through other channels.

We look forward to stimulating discussions on these and other topics,
and will keep this list posted on our progress,

MPE Forum Executive Committee
