hi all!

well the ugly task of updating our xl store systems (they're
all on 5.5 at the moment) is peeking over the horizon...and
it's raising all manner of interesting questions. for
example -
 - hp drilled into our heads (:-) that as of 6.0 mpe was
going to be real picky about scsi device id's. ok...but how
does that play on one disc systems? you've gotta boot,
right? is there some special dispensation for ldev 1?
 - does this 'pickiness' apply to tape drives too?
 - can one believe what sysdiag/sysmap/io tells them?

finally, any good suggestions for determining how much
memory is installed on a system? i know about going thru
sysdiag, but plowing through 180+ sysdiag reports is more
than i really want to do :-) - d

It's just very selective about who its friends are.
And sometimes even best friends have fights."
