For those of you using Tivoli (nee Unison) Maestro: We have used Maestro
for MPE and Maestro for HP-UX with little or no problems. When one of
our UNIX folk installed Maestro for NT it had *many* problems. When he
called Tivoli and asked the difference between the UNIX version and the
NT version, the response was, "The UNIX version is stable." This is not
intended to be a slam on Tivoli; rather, it's to make the point once
more that NT is not yet enterprise-ready. (Okay, like it really needs to
be made *again*.) But since so many IT managers seem hell-bent on
dumping stable platforms for Non-stable Technology, it might be fruitful
to remind them why a mature platform like MPE is preferable.
