MPE Analyst - Y2K Support

Provide Y2K technical support to client as required.  Communicate with
Project Manager and Subject Matter Experts.  Acquire an understanding of the
software components of assigned applications.  Determine which versions are
compliant versions.  Replicate the current production environment on the
test machine. Perform baseline testing to ensure applications are functional
on test machine.  Remediate the software components of the applications to
achieve millennium compliance.  Assist with the development of Interface
Agreements with other application teams.  Unit test the applications and
assist the Test and Certification team with system integration testing.

Required Skills:

At least 5 years of experience working with the following:

*       MPE/iX
*       TURBOIMAGE
*       COBOL 85
*       POWERHOUSE (Quick and Quiz)

Preferred Skills:

*       TRANSACT
*       VPLUS
*       QEDIT
*       MPEX
*       OCS LIBRARIAN
*       C
*       MS OFFICE

Desired Skills:

*       Y2K remediation background
*       Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle
*       Understanding of Project Management techniques/processes/methodology
*       Investigative skills

Intangibles:

MPE Y2K support staff are given minimal lead time to become familiar with
and function within a support environment.  MPE Y2K support staff should
have the ability to communicate well with all levels of Nortel personnel
including Y2K team members, application support staff, user community and
peers. MPE Y2K support staff should possess excellent problem solving skills
and the ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision.  MPE
Y2K support staff should have the ability to learn quickly.
