Chris,

One of the first thing I would check are number of TCP connections and
buffer utilization. To do this at MPE prompt:

:nettool.net.sys
res;dis ===> look for all happy faces :) on the right hand side.

then still in nettool exit till >>> prompt:

sta,tc,tc @

and look for max connections defined and number in use. for rapid fire FTP
it will hold connections for about 4 minutes.

Subject: Minimum spec for HP3000 FTP server

Hi there

I want to know what the group thinks that the minimum spec for a HP3000
system should be for the following

The system will receive FTP calls at least every 5 minutes from 38 customers
over the internet and from 1 in house PC.

The current system is 928LX running 7.1

This machine seems to be struggling and seems to cause a lot of ftp hangs at
the customer.

Regards

Chris
