Hi folks! I don't know who the source is that is saying that Turbo
Image is "on the Manufacture Discontinue" list, but no one panic.
It's not going away.

What may be causing confusion is the discontinuance of the old
CISC-based HP3000's made in the 70's through 80's timeframe.
They ran an older version of TurboIMAGE called IMAGE/3000
(thank you Fred White and crew). If anything would be
discontinued, it would make sense to obsolete that old version.
TurboIMAGE was introduced in 1986, so it's been 10 years --
plenty of time for all users to get moved from the old IMAGE
to the current TurboIMAGE.

In fact, though I can't say what the enhancements are, I think
everyone will be very pleased with the enhancement work CSY
is carrying on at this time. Watch for announcements for 6.0 and
beyond. Why do I know or care? I'm one of several HP
Instructor's who teaches the TurboIMAGE class.

In general, when any of our community of 3000 users hears an
rumor or announcement of discontinuance, make sure to ask
if it is regarding the old CISC-based, MPE V environment. That
is going away (sniff).

Cheers!
