You probably COULD add memory to your 957-100, but you cannot add
another processor to it - unless you were to convert it to a 987,
which would essentially be a box replacement (although you could
theoretically do the conversion by swapping out the motherboard, cpu,
and power supplies).

And it really wouldn't make much sense to upgrade only the memory -
although you could probably quite easily at least double it with
non-HP memory offered by many 3rd-party hardware vendors.

The conversion to a 987 is probably one of several options you have
to address your increasing processing demands.

Other options include upgrading to a 9x8, 9x9, A-class, or N-class 3k chassis.

The A-class or N-class option will certainly give you the greatest
bang for your buck - although the process to migrate your data would
be more complex, since you would also be required to upgrade your
operating system (which is currently on MPE/iX 6.5 or earlie) and you
would need to upgarde to at least MPE/iX 7.0 with the A-class or
N-class upgrade.

I would need to know lots more about your specific configuration to
determine your best option.

Feel free to contact me off-list if you want more details.
