Steve,
We had the same problem on one of our 4100's but ours never would finish
printing unless we turned it off and back on.  What it turned out to be (in
our case anyway) was a bad drawer.  I guess there is some sensor in the
drawer went bad (When good drawers go bad).  We swapped drawers, took the
bottom one to the top and visaversa and it worked.
