Item Subject: HPDESK READ comamnd
Phil,

One trick I've found is to copy the item to the HPDesk clipboard, then copy it
back. You can then edit the item.

INTRAY>OPEN 1 (whatever message #)

MESSAGE 1>FORWARD 2 TO "dist_list" (whatever item #)

Comments: ...

MESSAGE>COPY 3 TO CLIP (the forwarded item is at least #3)

MESSAGE>D 3 (delete the original)

MESSAGE>COPY FROM CLIP

The item you wish to copy is a master copy. (HPDesk responds with...)
Will you want to edit the new copy (No) ? Y (Reply Y)

MESSAGE>EDIT 4 (item #3 is gone, but not forgotten...)

etc...

btw, I posted a suggestion to use the space-bar for moving through a series of
reads, but the thread never took it up. I'm wondering if my replies are getting
back to the list?

The next thing I would like to see is how to 'edit' a message, and re-post it.
I have not been able to use FORWARD, for it does not allow me to EDIT a
received message.

I tried changing my default HPDESK editor to QEDIT.PUB.ROBELLE, but
our NTMAIL does not know yet how to interpret the output, producing
a bunch of HEX characters.

I wonder how the other HPDESK pros are able to edit received messages,
and re-mail the edited message.

Thanks again.
