Hello MPE gods,

I recently adopted an HP 3000 running MPE/ix 6.5. I have a read only ODBC
connector to an Image database that runs extremely slow (up to five minutes)
when running queries on Access 2000. The actual data that I request amounts
to less than 100K characters. If I link more than three tables in a query,
I consistantly get an ODBC timeout.

How do I manage the ODBC server on MPE? Is there a way to terminate open
ODBC sessions? How about monitor the load of the server? I am really a
*nix guy, a newbie to MPE.

I am about to construct an ASP script to retrieve data over an IIS server
but I am afraid of excessive wait time and timeouts if I cannot resolve this
problem.

Thanks.

Ian Fleming
