"with the exception of the hardware" ? I was under the impression that
the 3000 outperformed the 9000 solution. Whats really going on here?

This raises a couple of interesting qurestions: 1) Was the SWA/3000
project cancellation due to the 3000's inability to get the job done, or
an unrelated change in direction by SWA, and 2) is the CSY buy-out of
OpenSkies related to this cancellation, or a smart (very smart) move to
bolster an potentially large market opportunity for the 3000?

On the general topic of CSY's purchase of OpenSkies (BTW congrats to the
OpenSkies folks and more power and success to you), why did CSY chose
this particular application niche? I remember when the BIG apps on the
3000 were manufacturing (MANMAN and HPs package) and finance (HP and
others). I've looked at both CSY's and HP's home pages and have not
found any press release etc. on the OpenSkies purchase. Will CSY be
making purchases in the other 3 application niches it is targeting with
the 3000? Smith-Gardner(www.smithgardner.com/) has filed for an IPO,
what does this mean for the 3000 in that niche?

BTW - Cort Directions was recently acquired by another company and I
have heard the Orbit is, or will soon be, acquired? Seems like there a
LOT of activity in the 3000 marketplace. Maybe Ron (Seybold) will get to
use his investigative reporter hat!

Lee Courtney
