 Good morning

We want to export spoolfiles from our system on a hp3000.
The files will be printed on a separate system ( Windows ) to printers
handling PCL5.The spoolfile(s) will be transfered to the other
system by FTP or sent by mail.

Today we print these files on a HP LaserJet 5Si connected to
our hp3000 as a networked printer.

When we copy the spoolfiles (from out.hpspool) to a laptop,
all the escape sequences in the text appear to be correct.
The question is - do these spoolfiles go through some process before
being printed to the network printer ?
To me it seems some starting sequences or heading could be missing ?

After copying spoolfiles using the environment parameter in the
fileequation for print, this fact becomes even more evident.
Instead of placing the code ( escape sequences ) at the top of the file
as I expected, the fully defined filename of the environmentfile appear.

Question - how to make exported spoolfiles from HP3000 print
correctly on another operating system ?

Kind regards

Ola Kristiansen
