Hi Jerry & Shawn :)
Ok... well... I will keep it on topic and remove the OT :)

I am not a Psycho.... I just stay in a very very heightened state of
awareness of the ongoings around me with respect to Information Security
(InfoSec). And I get paid for what I do so that makes me a bonified
professional :)

Now, back to the topic... with reference to the Home Steading and
OpenMPE aspects of the end of the 3k...

What is the legalities concerning the purchase and/or other legal
transference of ownership of 3k's and related software.... when HP ceases
to sell the boxes and the software... the Homesteaders and OpenMPE'ers will
need to buy stuff from various sources other than HP including other
entities that own said software ... So, if I owned a 957 with 64 user
license for, say, a Pascal compliler ... and Say someone who had a 957 on
their site but no longer used the Pascal compiler (legally acquired (sp) )
from HP originally wants to help me out by selling it to me for a song
(which would be a really bad deal for them considering how bad I sing!
hehe)

Would this situaltion be ok? Would it be Legal? (which is different
from ok - courts and congress decide Legal)

Art "still pondering this one... " Bahrs
P.S. only Jeff really would know if Brian actually left the list.... who
knows who lurks out there... in the shadows of the 'Net... After all...
maybe the net is the one true Pattern? and we but live in Amber the first
reflection? ok, so this literary Reference is off topic... so shoot me :)
but remember I shot Expert at my last qualification round :)

Yeah...apparently takes shots at folks, etc. and then flees... Chances
are he'll
re-join like he did before when he needs something from us
'idiots'. Hopefully
folks will remember....
