Just yesterday I used the TAPECOPY program from jazz. I had a tape with a
combined SLT and STORE files on it and needed to re-install a system.
Unfortunately the tape was created with hardware compression and the system
in question no longer had a compatible DDS drive. TAPECOPY flawlessly copied
directly from one DDS drive to another (with hardware compression disabled
of course) rendering a usable tape.
