Now that we are a little bit more formal - I have just been appointed system
administrator for our HP3000 running a CPI financial system.  I have little
experience administering the system other than what I pick up here and
there.

Why someone without experience you ask - well because we a medium size k-12
school district with limited resources.  Lucky me.

Until I am comfortable with working with the system I find myself falling
back on my win9x tunnle vision.
