Yes, the US has pulled a few real bonehead moves in all parts of the
world. This is the price of having governments composed of humans and
not omnipotent gods. And of course hindsight is 20/20.
But, that does not makes us responsible for the tyranny and exploitation
that the Arab governments practice upon their own. It is a catch 22 that
we will likely never overcome.
If we deal with tyrannical governments we are propping them up.
If we refuse to deal with them, we are heartless for ignoring the plight
of its people.
If we attempt to topple a government to help its people, we are
imperialists only out for oil, land, etc...
To quote Joshua:
"A strange game, the only winning move seems to be... not to play."
Oh, but then we are isolationist.
