It now works if I use "MGR.TECSUP", etc....

I can't believe this! Is this a M/S thingy, eh?

It seemed to work OK on earlier Samba on < 7.0 P1 MPE/iX!

This might be a problem because the share name is 14 chars.
Depending on the Windows version, share names and/or passwords
are clipped to 12 or 13 chars, I believe. (Don't ask me for
exact details, the Windowses are beyond my comprehension ;-)

Try a shorter share name to verify.
