didn't see it appear fra the list in my own mail.  So here I'm taking the=20
liberty of trying again:
 
My application written in VB4.0 16 bit version using allbase.dll is opening=
=20
a database on a HP3000 running express#3.
 
The UPDATABLE-property of the database is reported back as TRUE.
 
A dataset is opened as a dynaset.  This UPDATABLE-property of the dynaset is=
=20
reported back as FALSE.  It beats me why.
 
The same dataset is UPDATABLE when opened from MS-QUERY (EXCEL).  =20
The user and users password grants access to the dataset in mode 1.
 
 
Any suggestions ?
