It's most likely been answered by other posters (check your inpri
values).
Also check you aren't using job queues. Useful commands are
LISTJOBQ
SHOWJOB JOB=@J;JOBQ
And check the first line of the stream job doesn't refer to job queues
(the !job card).
....
I am looking at an existing job, to which I added line 611.
608) !#
609) !STREAM LIMITDSS.PUB
610) !TELLOP Restarting Web Order listener
611) !STREAM JWREQA.USERSTR2.!SG2VER
612) !#
Now, the normal function of the existing job depends on LIMITDSS to both
stream several other jobs, and to raise the job limit appropriately. As
you can see, this happened at about 1:23AM. Later that morning, SHOWJOB
showed:
JOBNUM STATE IPRI JIN JLIST INTRODUCED JOB NAME
#J667 EXEC 10S LP SUN 12:00A PSMOND,PREDMON.SYS
#J680 EXEC 10S LP SUN 1:52A WEBREQA,JOBS.SGAII
#J687 WAIT:1 10 10S LP SUN 4:00A STPRO365,JOBS.SGAII
...
#J679 WAIT:13 7 10S LP SUN 1:23A LIMITDSS,JOBS.SGAII
What has me a little puzzled is how #J679, streamed first, is thirteenth
in line, while #J680 took the last remaining slot within our job limits?
What little MPE subtlety bit me, and hard? And how do I remedy this?
