The only thing I apologize for is the fact that my comments were meant as a
private reply and not a reply to the list. And I do apologize for this
mistake. However, I was still simply "venting" my rage and frustration at
the announcement. Nearly half of my life has been spent working with the
HP3000 and right at the moment the future looks pretty bleak. I agree that
by and large the people of CSY have been a pleasure to work with. Nothing I
said was meant personally.

I just listened to the official webcast announcement by Christine (she was
the first in a long list aimed at "partners") and came away amused that in
the lead in to the webcast (and hence the lead in for Christine) the speaker
lauded HP as being the 5th largest software company in the world - right
behind SAP - and noted how important software is to HP. Of course the
webcast also continued the silliness of claiming MPE is proprietary and
somehow HP-UX and Windows is not...
