If you're using the mirror database (stop-restart) method of roll-forward
recovery, you probably need to purge the restart file created by a prior attempt
at recovery. RUN DBRECOV.PUB.SYS,PURGE will accomplish this. The "TurboImage
DBMS Reference Manual" should be able to provide more information -- probably in
the Logging and Recovery chapter (don't know the chapter number, offhand).

Subject: [HP3000-L] log file recovery problems
I am setting up a "poor man's" reporting box. The method that I am trying
to utilize is FTPing log files to the report box and roll the data base
forward. The recovery errors out as shown below:
>recover dms.data.azce

Abort occured outside analysis and recovery time.
Cause of abort is:
Restart file open failed
I cannot find the file which is apparently causing the problem. Does
anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks,
