... Larry Ellison's toy / art collection is already *more* than big
enough... ;-)

Final updates of the agenda and preliminary SIGIMAGE and
SIGHPSQL 2001 Ballot handouts for HPW - Philly are in-
process. We do indeed still have long enhancement lists for
both SIGs; many of these items are ROM-estimated to be only
"Small" or "Medium" efforts (and if there are items these two
SIGs have overlooked, I trust people will not keep them to
themselves). :-)

I share Duane's hope: Since HP should now have "no worries,
mate" (helps to have been Down Under) WRT "offending"
Oracle by touting / enhancing Image/SQL and ALLBASE/SQL
too much, now is the time for additional technical progress on
and PR about the e3000's native DBMS....

I take this opportunity to provide my first reminder all readers
who expect to attend HPW - Philly; about some key IMAGE /
ALLBASE bookmarks:

SIGIMAGE meets at 09:30 - 11:30 on Monday 11 Sept,
immediately after Ann Livermore's opening Keynote.

SIGHPSQL meets right after SIGIMAGE; from 11:30 - 12:30.
Please note that *all* SQL issues including IMAGESQL utility
enhancements are now being handled by SIGHPSQL.

The above two SIG meetings will be followed by the IMAGE
and HPSQL Roundtable at 16:00 - 18:00 on Tuesday 12 Sept.
While there will be opportunities for open discussion at the SIG
meetings too, suggest attendees in large part consider the
database roundtable as an "extension" of SIGIMAGE and
SIGHPSQL; WRT specific questions / issues you may have
on Image/SQL and Allbase/SQL....
