Those of us on comp.sys.hp.mpe do of course have all the killfiling
capability of our chosen newsreader at our disposal.
What we *don't* have is the ability to reach out to the HP3000-L list
server and say 'Hey, you might have shut down after sending 200
messages, but *I* haven't had that many yet, so please send me some
more'.
Any possibility of the server cutting off 'OT' postings after, say 25%
of the day's bandwidth has been squandered?
