- Find that very hard to believe...  would cisco really have implemented
  AFCP/ADCP protocol in their boxes???  What about management of those??
  Would they also have implemented the HP proprietary DTC management
  protocols such as NMP, OMP and (whatever the 3rd was)... or would they
  have all that in ROM so that HP3000 or a DTC MGR would not have to download
  the box?  If it has to be downloaded, then it should appear exactly as
  some of HP DTC's, send the exact same self-test report with same number
  and kinds of boards, based on which the 3k could do auto-config and other
  things...  sounds to me like the consultant might be a bit off track here...
 
  Of course, I might be wrong... maybe the consultant thinks of telnet
  connections and (upcoming) inbound telnet on 5.5 or.. or...?  I'm
  tempted to bet eating my shorts if cisco boxes indeed can talk AFCP/ADCP
  and appear as HP DTC's to the hp3k!!
