Darryl-

It sounds like some process has run away with the system. Do a control B
from the console to see if at the bottom of the screen it is alternating
FAFF FFFF. If so, the system is totally busy. Type in CO to get out of
this mode. If you have GLANCE or some other performance tool, run it to
find which process has taken the system and kill it.

Good luck,

Gary

Subject: HELP! System locked

Hi all, I have a problem with a 947LX and am hoping that someone here can
shed some light. Users can enter "hello user.account" and their passwords
and will receive a few lines of the welcome message, but then the session
seems to hang, nothing else will happen. This is happening to PCs running
Minisoft, terminals on a DTC and the console, the system is responding to
pings so it probably isn't a network problem. If anyone can shed some light
on this it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Darryl
