Has anyone set up a Canon IR6800c copier/printer for use with an HP3000?

I have tried adding one's IP address to my NPCONFIG file and tried modifying
all kinds of parameters to try and make it work but without success.

Does anyone know what parameters should help or does anyone have an
Environment file they could send me that might make this work?
 ..or am I wasting my time?
