Pat:

We've successfully used the Symmetrix 3500 models on 3000s. I believe
(use a grain of salt here) that we needed 5.5 with the latest patch.  As
far as I know the driver is only available with that release.
Otherwise, the hardware all works just as it would on a 9000 box.  I
also believe that these cannot be used as boot disks, but I could be
wrong on that count...
