I would hazard to guess this may be MR;Nobuf issue and the 4096 byte boundary so the first thing I would try is file equate the ksamxl file with nomr and see if that helps. I have some old research on impacts of copy and nomr that I can research if just NOMR doesn’t help, but I am guessing it might. In short you may need a combination of NOMR and COPY.
