I have a cheap set of noise canceling headphones and they only eliminate
the high pitch sounds; not sure if they would reduce the sounds in a
computer room much.
Brings back memories when my office was the computer room.

Subject: Computerworld -- question for list
This is really off-topic for 3000 but ... I'm trying to find out if the
use of noise canceling headphones, ear plugs, are commonly used by
people who work in data centers.
Also trying to learn whether there's any sense if the noise level of
data centers is increase with consolidation, server density ...
If there's any interest/thoughts on this, I'd appreciate hearing (excuse
me) about them.
Please write my cw address if you can or just call --
Cheers,
