cobol prime number generator timing:

a500-200-140 -- 120.43 cpu seconds
rp2470-2-way-650 -- 11.90 cpu seconds

rp3440-2-way-1000 -- 7.74 cpu seconds (projected)

I know the rp2470 cpu is 10x the a500-140 and
I bet the rp3440 1ghz is about 15+ times faster.

However, my 2-way xeon 2.8ghz system is still way faster
than anything mentioned in this posting. And I have
the numbers to prove it...

Ah - the wonders of high power and low price :-)
