I've been meaning to write this note for some time now, but I just wanted to
say how pleased and impressed I've been with Eloquence.

If you're not familiar with Eloquence, it is both a very accurate workalike
for MPE's IMAGE database and a BASIC-like language. We've been developing a new
version of our report writer for about a year now in Eloquence and I've been
impressed with Eloquence's speed and robustness, and with the depth of its
documentation.

I've also been impressed with the level of support we've gotten, not only
from Michael Marxmeier but also especially Allegro Consultants, Eloquence's
support agency in the United States.

It's important to understand that my comments could easily be self-serving.
As a vendor of a report writer that is currently specializing on Eloquence, we
would like to see the population of Eloquence users be as large as possible,
but that's not my motive in writing. It's simply to say how pleased I am with
the product. Marxmeier has made moving an existing IMAGE database over to
Eloquence almost painless, and if you wish to develop applications on either an
HP-UX, Linux or Windows host to access those databases, Eloquence's IDE (once you
catch on to its idiosyncracies) is a pleasure to use.
