as someone else already mentioned, ASOCTBL has something
to do with granting "operator capabilities" for selected
devices to selected users...
I typically read the IOCONFIG message as "we have changed
the device class(es) tables, so if you are using the MPE
features of asociate.pub.sys, you need to run the asoctbl
utility to re-fresh the respective config".
