The last time I recall (and that's a while ago), I used Patch/iX B.00.16
on MPE/iX 5.5 to install a 100 Base-T SUBSYS tape and some PowerPatch, it
probably was C.55.06 or later. Worked like a charm (which it did not with
older versions of Patch/iX).

The nice thing of Patch/iX add-on with patches is that (unlike AUTOINST)
the phase 1 part can be done while users are still on the system (and RC
engineers or HP3000-L help is easily available, with no time pressure)
and phase 2 can be "scheduled" for off-hours if required. Just make sure
to mount the tapes you get prompted for on the screen, the manual has one
place where it forgets to mention that the SUBSYS media has to be mounted
another time (before the CSLT/STORE tape, IIRC).

Lars.
