I-B-M'ers try to pronounce every abbreviation. CICS is 'Kicks' DB2 is
"dub-too".

H-P'ers generally don't do this, because half the time it sounds REAL
STOOPID, the other half time it's just confusing.

Jim, it's time to give your mup-EX-cel recruiter story.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Pronunciation of MPEX

Do you pronounce each letter: M P E X, or as a two-syllable word: em -
pecks?

I've heard both, and I wonder what y'all think.
