About the only way I know do this on a terminal is to have one of your
programs write the various "components" of your signon script into your
function keys (F1, F2, etc.) so that a nontechnical person would simply push
the buttons in sequence.

It would seem however that your larger problem is going to be connecting the
terminal to the HP3000 via telnet. How are you planning on doing that?
