I am trying to locate a good hp-ux spooling program for our HP9000/800
machines. I know of some packages names such as UNISPOOL (API Intl.),
OPENSPOOL (HP), and NBSPOOL (Quest), etc.

I am reading the product descriptions of these programs. But
I need the input of those who have experienced using any of these
  packages.

If you have used any of these packages, can you spare a few minutes to
e-mail me your experiences in using them, and what you like most about
them? Also, if you can include, is there any feature in that program
that you feel is necessary to make your
job easier, and those of your users? Also, would you like to change
your spooling package to another? If so, to what?

We starting using Unispool on a classic HP3000 about 8 years ago.
It's always been an excellent piece of software on that platform.
When we got into Unix about 3 years ago we purchased their product for
HP-UX. It had a couple of quirks back then, but today it's very
solid. If you have experience on the HP3000 with Unispool, you'll
find the HP9000 version a comfortable place to be. The user interface
and features are almost identicle. It's so easy to move spoolfiles
between the HP3000s, HP9000s, Jetdirect cards, and Novell servers
that it can be quite a task to locate problems when someone says "I
can't find my printout!". The biggest knock against Unispool would
probably be price, but we've all seen many discussions on quality and
  functionality versus price.

  Vince.
