  Kent,

The steps to add a new printer are:

Logged on as MANAGER.SYS

In SYSGEN->IO->AD nnnn ID=HPTCPJD PATH=NONE->HO->EXIT-KEEP (Y to purge
old) -> EXIT

At the : prompt, type DOIONOW...when it completes, it will have added
the new LDEV to the active devices (A showdev should show it as SPOOLED)

Using Editor, edit the NPCONFIG file to add the new printer with
whatever options you desire.

Then, to activate the NPCONFIG, simply do a STARTSPOOL nnn for the new
LDEV.

Jack

What is the program you run to activate a new NPCONFIG file. I know one
of you guys is working today.
