If that is the case, your "default gateway" is not the best route to be
taking.  Have you made any routing changes?  Is there more than one
router on your subnet?

Redirects occur when a router receives a packet whose destination is
routed to the incoming interface.  The redirect says "Hey, don't bother
me with this, send it here instead."

If you have multiple routers and multiple paths, you will have to break
into defining the other gateway (which is not fun) since the 3000 does
not understand any routing protocols.
