We have a 925LX running MPE/iX 4.0 with an average of about 30 users
logged in at a time operating about 12(hr.) X 5(days). We are using
Minisoft's Win92 to connect about half of the users to the 3K via NS.
Beginning yesterday the NS services intermittently and suddenly stop.
Win92 reports "Connection Lost . . . Retry, Configure, Exit". If we
retry we are presented with a prompt, but the old session is gone (from
the user's perspective) and we must log in again. Interestingly, even if
we Exit, the old session remains open and must be manually aborted.

This has occurred from within Vplus screens and COBOL programs, Speedware
programs and from the command prompt. I have not as yet been able to
determine if there is a time-based connection between instances.

In an effort to correct the problem I have stopped and restarted NET and
NS, and restarted the 3K and DTC, to no avail.

Has anyone ever experienced this sort of problem?
Any diagnostic or corrective suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
