uups, not finished! Sorry! Here the complete text:

Jim,

you may have a look to http://www.hillschmidt.de/gbr/articles.htm and select
"Freedom to Mail from Your 3000, for free".

Some of the commandfiles in this article have been rewritten in between. Our
site uses three:
* interactive eMail composition (SENDMAIL),
* batch eMail composition (SENDBACK),
* files as appendixes to an email (SENDFILE).
We use it mainly to transport system information created by batches to the
System Mgr. or Application people (Intranet).
But it is also used to send some documents to outside partners on the Internet.

If you need more information pls let me know.

Best regards, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

Subject:  mailx

I just discovered mailx out in HPBIN.SYS.

Can anyone explain how I might be able to email from the 3000 using
mailx out to a mail server preferably the internet?

I've done something similar but on a Unix machine using sendmail
instead...

Thanks,
 Jim..
