I should mention, that while we looked at the others, we are very happy
with the Facade CoEditor. Basically, we demoed it, were using it
regularly, then realized that we were coming to the end of the demo
period, and figured if we had been using it for weeks without any real
issues, we must be pretty happy with it (then the purchase req got held
up until well after the demo expired... sheesh). There are some features
I look forward to seeing added (the NT compatible client, support for
HFS, a bit of cleanup on the interface), but am glad to have it as it is
now. I especially appreciate that one can choose to save or not save
passwords (we chose and recommend that latter), that it knows what a
COBOL / EDTCT file is, does not ftp entire files, but sends changes to
its listener, and saves the file on the host and locally, in a special
format, and offers an ASCII text format additionally. I would definitely
recommend trying the eval. Their URL is http://www.netpsg.com.

We evaled WhisperTech Programmer Studio, although not very thoroughly,
and just started using QEdit for Windows, no opinion yet. I am thrilled
to see the development going on in this area. This gives each vendor a
foundation for other client/server development.
