It would work fine.
Your Model 20 has two controllers. Each would go to a FWD SCSI card on
the 3000.
Each LUN can only be controlled by one controller. So if you made a
LUN to be LDEV 1 and another to be LDEV 2, they could be controlled by
separate controllers and thus the I/O would be handled over both FWD
SCSI cards. (The Model 20 is able to move all the LUNs to a single
controller in the even that the other controller fails, but MPE is
unable to "switch gears" like that, whereas HP-UX can).
Mix and match as needed. :)
Of course, you can always buy another dual-controller Model 20 and two
more FWD controllers, thus giving you up to 4 I/O paths. Later, rinse,
repeat. :)
