Before working on our ODBC driver LINKWAY I put together quite a few
systems that involved PC's either getting data from an external source and
then transfering it to the HP or the HP sending data to a PC which would
then forward it somewhere else.

The PC in your case would be left in reflection running a script which
would check for the existance of a file and would automatically download it
when it was created in a JCL.

Once the initial bugs are removed we have had PC's running 24*365
transfering files without any human intervention.

Old DOS versions of reflection on low spec PC's work rearly well.
