In a Raid 1 configuration you will not be able to use all 20 drives.
My Mod 20 expert isn't here today but IIRC you can only configure 8
drives per controller in RAID 1.

We always configure in a hot spare. Another performance tip you might try
is don't give ldev1 a device class of SPOOL in SYSGEN to help reduce
its load.

HTH,

Guy

Subject: Best config 969 and Mod 20

We are trying to configure a Mod-20 for an HP 3000/969.
Could someone send us their favorite setup for both the 969 and Mod-20?
We are using all 20 drives, in RAID 1, w/o Private volumes.
There are so many variables, we are just looking for the least problematic.

TIA,

Guy Avenell
