With release 5.5 of MPE/iX, HP has provided several new predefined
variables, one of which will provide you with the client's IP address.  I'm
not sure off the top of my head what the name of the variable is, but a
SHOWVAR HP@ should do the trick.  I haven't used telnet with HP3000 systems
as servers, but I assume the IP address is recorded just as with VT
sessions.

I suppose you could write the IP address of a client to a file at logon, and
then delete the same from a file at logout.  You could check this file  when
a client logs on, looking for a duplicate.  I think you could do all this
from a logon UDC using the CI.
