We had a similar problem at the City of Sparks. We have an LPQ-800. One of
the things that the RC had us
do was to create a "blank" setup file that NPConfig reads. Our NPConfig
file looks like this:
global (setup_file = NOTHING.HPENV.SYS
message_interval = 60
banner_header = FALSE
banner_trailer = FALSE)
# LP INFORMATION SERVICES COMPUTER ROOM LPQ-800
26 (network_address = 172.20.10.26
pjl_supported = false
jam_recovery = false)
Our printer is set to defaults for PCL-II.
This doesn't seem to affect any other printers. The only problem I have is
that the printer
does a form feed before each printjob starts (lots of blank paper). I'm
sure there is a fix
to this but RC has not been able to help me solve it (and I just let it go
about a year ago...).
I hope this helps
