having two shutdown commands creates too much confusion! you wouldn't
believe the amount of grief i go thru when i tell my operators --
'type the
shutdown command on the console'. (we have an operator's udc called
'shutdown' (badly named, imo) that stops a kazillion background jobs,
blah
blah, blah and halts the network). the operators invariably think i'm
telling
them to do a cntl-a shutdown. i like the *name* sysstop
though... - d
